The all-new Sorento is available with three different engine choices, which consist of a sole diesel, a Mild Hybrid and a Plug-in Hybrid.
Starting with the diesel, which is a turbocharged 2.2-litre that produces a satisfyingly rounded 200 bhp. The new engine is actually 19.5 kg lighter than its predecessor; this translates to better efficiency. Opt for the diesel and you'll get Kia's new 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, which provides optimal performance and fuel economy.
The Sorento Hybrid pairs a 1.49 kWh battery pack and 44.2 kW electric motor with a turbocharged 1.6-litre petrol engine for the perfect blend of performance and fuel economy. This unit comes paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
