The versatility of the Sorento means that you can choose between a 2.2-litre diesel or 1.6-litre petrol hybrid or plug-in hybrid engine. Depending on which model you opt for, you’ll be treated to anywhere from 616-to-604 litres of boot space. This extends to up to 1,988-2,011 litres of space with the second row of seats down.
All Sorentos are equipped with a touchscreen infotainment system, which varies in size depending on the model. The Sorento 2 boasts an 8-inch display, while the 3 comes with a luxurious 10.25-inch screen. All of these are 5-star Euro NCAP approved, and include the following features:

All newer Kia Sorentos come with seven seats spread across three rows. Early models of the Sorento were equipped with five seats, with a third row able to be added as part of a customisation process.
The Sorento is a very fuel efficient car. 1.6-litre hybrid units are rated at 40.4 mpg (low), 47.9 mpg (med) and 48.7 mpg (high), while diesel models have an overall fuel economy rating of 42.2 mpg. The plug-in is rated at 176.6 mpg, thanks to the ability to run purely on electric energy.
The Kia Sorento PHEV has a towing capacity of 1,500kg, while the diesel model is able to pull weight up to 1,650kg. Older models of the Sorento will be able to tow even more, with manual transmissions able to pull up to 2,500kg and manual 2,000kg.
