JAECOO 7 SHS-P Achieves Guinness World Record During UK Three Peaks Challenge
The JAECOO 7 SHS-P has earned a Guinness World Records title after successfully completing a unique endurance challenge that combined remarkable hybrid efficiency with one of the UK's most demanding outdoor adventures.
Covering 469.5 miles across Scotland, England and Wales while achieving an impressive 68.7mpg, the JAECOO 7 SHS-P played a pivotal role in a record-breaking attempt centred around the UK's famous Three Peaks Challenge.
Unlike conventional efficiency tests conducted under controlled conditions, this achievement took place on real roads, through changing weather conditions and across some of Britain's most diverse driving environments.

The challenge saw television presenter Ben Shephard take on the formidable task of climbing the summits of the UK's three highest peaks:
- Ben Nevis in Scotland
- Scafell Pike in England
- Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) in Wales
To secure the World Record, it wasn't enough simply to achieve an impressive fuel economy figure. Ben had to successfully reach the summit of all three mountains, while the JAECOO 7 SHS-P transported him between locations using as little fuel as possible.
The journey covered 469.5 miles, along motorways, country roads and mountain routes, with conditions ranging from driving rain in the Scottish Highlands, to sunshine in the Lake District, and high winds in North Wales.

Real-World Performance
One of the most impressive aspects of the achievement is that the vehicle was a standard production JAECOO 7 SHS-P, with no performance modifications or special preparation.
The challenge was designed to demonstrate the capabilities of JAECOO's Super Hybrid System in the same conditions owners experience every day. Rather than relying on a test track or laboratory environment, the route reflected genuine UK driving conditions, including varying terrain, traffic and weather.
Throughout the challenge, the JAECOO 7 SHS-P provided a comfortable and refined environment for Ben Shephard to recover between climbs, helping him prepare for each successive ascent.
To ensure the integrity of the record attempt, strict verification procedures were followed throughout the challenge.
The vehicle's fuel filler and charging point were sealed at the start and remained sealed until the conclusion of the journey. Every mile was GPS tracked, while the challenge itself was independently witnessed by the RAC. Summit photographs from each of the three peaks provided further evidence of completion.
Following review of the evidence, Guinness World Records officially confirmed the achievement, recognising the JAECOO 7 SHS-P's performance over the 469.5-mile route at an equivalent fuel consumption figure of 4.11L/100km (68.7mpg).
A New Benchmark for Hybrid Efficiency
The record demonstrates the real-world capability of the JAECOO 7 SHS-P's advanced hybrid powertrain, showcasing its ability to deliver exceptional efficiency over long distances while maintaining comfort and practicality.
By successfully supporting the completion of the UK's iconic Three Peaks Challenge and achieving outstanding fuel economy in the process, the JAECOO 7 SHS-P has secured its place in the record books.
No test track. No special conditions. Just real roads, real weather and a Guinness World Record-winning performance.
