Used Car Sales Controller

Due to the continuing success of Waylands we are looking for a Used Car Sales Controller to join the team at our flagship Volvo dealership in Bristol.

The successful applicant will be an excellent communicator with first-class presentation skills, strong attention to detail, and Automotive Showroom experience in a similar position - you will have a complete understanding of what it takes to successfully assist the sales team in constructing and closing deals in a profitable way with a major emphasis on Customer Satisfaction.

Our ideal candidate is someone who is already in a similar role. However, we would consider someone who is an experienced Sales Executive looking to progress.


What’s the Role?

This role involves being responsible for the used car stock within the dealership and ensuring it is promoted in a professional and timely fashion.

You will need to develop successful working relationships whilst working in close collaboration with the General Sales Manager, Sales team, and other internal departments to help facilitate the swift delivery of our Customers’ vehicles.

What Does a Typical Day Involve?

  • Ensure all used cars are prepared and photographed to a high standard for advertising
  • Ensure used cars in stock and in the pipeline are at optimum levels at all times.
  • Ensure that the Sales team are always fully up to date with all Used Cars/Demos in stock
  • Value part-exchange vehicles in collaboration with the Sales team
  • Ensure Trade vehicles are disposed of in agreed timescales through official channels
  • Plan and conduct dealership promotions for maximum impact whilst remaining cost effective
  • Deputise for the Sales Manager as necessary
