We have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Support Executive to join our team based at Waylands Volvo in Bristol to strengthen our customer experience. This role has become available due to internal promotion. Our Volvo dealership is a brand new, state of the art facility which opened in August 2021. As our product range develops with the latest technological advances, our customers need more support to navigate the latest model updates.

As first point of contact for many of our customers, you will have a friendly and approachable nature, with a confident outlook on life. A passion and enthusiasm for technology and learning is a must. With an experienced team and forward-thinking manufacture behind you, we will teach you all you need to know about our products, brand, and processes.

The role is focused on providing the best customer experience and supporting the sales team in their objectives, therefore previous involvement within a customer facing role is preferred.

As a Sales Support Executive you will:

Provide an engaging, warm first point of contact for customers in our new state of the art showroom in Filton. Be eager to learn and to share your knowledge with customers and colleagues, using available resources and your own initiative to grow an understanding of all things Volvo and its competition. Listen to customers to understand their needs, questions, and aspirations, creating a non-pressurised, non-threatening sales environment. Promote the Volvo brand, products and technologies, sharing information, features and benefits in a friendly, understandable way, using various mediums and tools. It’s important to understand that this position is not a ‘sales’ role but is a great steppingstone position for someone looking to get into sales. Your role will be to share your passion for our products in a pressure-free way. In many ways, you will be a ‘brand ambassador’ not only for Volvo but Waylands as well. The aim is to build our customer’s excitement about the cars and impress them with a personalised, premium service.

Your day-to-day duties will include but are not limited to:

Preparing the showroom, forecourt, and preparing cars for the day ahead. Completing product presentations, test-drives and assisting with vehicle handovers. Embracing the latest technology available, including tablets and videos. Sharing your knowledge and expertise within the Dealership. Supporting off-site events, while acting as an ambassador for our Dealership and the Volvo brand. Working with others within the Dealership Team to build effective relationships, and specifically transferring customers to and from Sales Executives to complete other elements of the buying process (especially negotiation and finance). Contributing to the Volvo Sales Support community through on-line forums and at specific events. Supporting the General Sales Manager with vehicle photography and vehicle advertising.

As the role will involve test-driving / moving vehicles, it is a requirement to hold a full, clean UK driving license. Full training both in-house at Waylands and through the Volvo training centre will be provided.
