Founded in 2017, family-owned and operated Waylands was started by its CEO John O’Hanlon, with its first dealership opening in Reading. Following this, it has acquired several other sites in the surrounding areas representing other prestige marques.
In the space of just three short years, Waylands earned acclaim for its excellent work ethic and genuine focus on family, respect and values at the Motor Trader Industry Awards 2020, taking home the winning ‘Dealer Group of the Year Award’. Furthermore, Waylands won the 2020 AM Award for ‘Best Dealer Group’ (up to ten sites), recognising the dealership’s strong customer experience focus.
With the acquisition of Kia Reading, Waylands are looking forward to extending its outstanding customer service to new and existing Kia owners, while securing jobs for the existing staff and adding the prospect of more in the future.

The dealership, located just off the A33 south of Reading town centre, will also receive a subtle makeover with new Waylands Kia signage.
The new Waylands Kia Reading dealership will provide customers with the latest range of appealing Kia offers. These span the entire Kia line-up and range from the ‘Go Hybrid’ event to the Kia Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) Grant of £2,500 off the purchase price of PHEV variants of the Niro, XCeed, Ceed Sportswagon, and the all-new Sorento.
Although ‘open’ during the current nationwide lockdown, the dealership’s showroom will remain closed in accordance with the latest rules, but will be available to new and existing Kia customers online for booking COVID-secure essential services, MOTs, after sales service and to order new and Approved Used Kia cars.
