About OMODA

It’s likely you’ll have seen an OMODA car on UK roads and not known too much about the exciting new launch. But as a hugely successful automotive challenger brand, it’s time to get to know more about OMODA and its range of sporty cars designed for modern lifestyles.

Who makes OMODA cars?

OMODA is owned by Chery Automotive, a Chinese car manufacturer and one of the world’s largest automotive exporters. Along with sister brand, JAECOO, the pioneering automotive marques are strategically outpacing many established players in the car industry.

OMODA was the first of the two challenger brands to begin its UK operations with its range of cars that deliver on bold styling, advanced connectivity and sporty drive. It takes the proven manufacturing expertise of the parent company and combines it with fresh thinking about what modern consumers actually want from their vehicles. The result: OMODA is positioning itself as an accessible choice for style-conscious drivers seeking contemporary automotive solutions. The current focus is crossover SUVs, but the brand has big plans for the future, including introducing more vehicle types.

Where are OMODA cars available?

Expanding beyond its primary markets in China and Southeast Asia, OMODA is working with established dealer networks and new partnerships in the UK.

At Waylands, we’re proud to offer new and used OMODA cars at our dedicated dealership in Bristol. We’re open and available seven days a week, so whether you have any questions about the cars or simply want to to test drive, the team is on hand to help. Plus, with our range of finance options and offers directly from the manufacturer, you could be driving away in a new OMODA quicker than you think.

What makes them different?

For us, OMODA is an exciting brand because of the innovative ways it meets the continuously diverse needs of contemporary consumers. The cars combine contemporary styling, advanced technology, competitive pricing, and features that integrate with digital lifestyles. They offer some of the best smartphone connectivity on the market, including wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus dedicated mobile apps for vehicle control.

Another reason to consider OMODA (or JAECOO) over more mainstream models is the emphasis on mechanical reliability, customer satisfaction and long-term value. All models come with a seven-year/100,000-mile manufacturer’s warranty and they offer free roadside assistance for the duration of the warranty (in a partnership with the RAC and so long as regular servicing is maintained at authorised centres).

Where are OMODA cars made?

OMODA vehicles are primarily manufactured in Wuhu, China, but Chery Automotive has numerous factories worldwide including destinations in Malaysia, other Southeast Asia locations, and across the globe.

But, as UK drivers will understand, the UK has unique driving conditions and experiences. In recognition of that, both OMODA and JAECOO cars are tested and finetuned at the European R&D centre in Raunheim, near Frankfurt, Germany. It’s all part of Chery’s commitment to delivering a superior driving experience tailored to the market it's operating in.

We’re excited to offer the range of OMODA cars, which is expected to grow, so please contact the team or visit our Bristol showroom. Now is a good time to come and take a test drive to see for yourself what this new brand delivers. Our team is on hand to answer any further questions.
