Waylands raise over £3000 for ‘Young Lives versus Cancer’

On Friday 14^th June, the participants on the 2024 Waylands Future Leaders Programme (FLP) completed their planned charity fund raising for YLVC.

Young Lives vs Cancer helps families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer…

The 2024 Cohort participating on the Waylands FLP, we’re tasked to agree on a charity to support, plan an event, fundraise and complete the task. This year, the team decided on the challenging hike of Cader Idris in Snowdonia to stretch their legs, which stands at 893m.

Waylands are delighted in how the team approached this task and the overall result achieved for the charity and the relationships it has cemented within the team.

The Future Leaders Programme is delivered inhouse through the Waylands Academy as part of their commitment to developing their people to bring around the benefits of personal satisfaction and career progression opportunities in the future.
