Hybrid performance and technology

The Kia Sorento is available with three distinct powertrain options engineered for performance, towing capability, and efficiency:

Self-Charging Hybrid (HEV): Pairs a 1.6-litre T-GDi petrol engine with a 1.49 kWh battery and electric motor to deliver 235 PS through a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV): Combines the 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine with a larger battery pack producing 283 PS, All-Wheel Drive (AWD), and up to 34 miles of pure-electric driving range.

2.2 CRDi Diesel: Produces 190 PS and a robust 440 Nm of torque. Paired with Kia's 8-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT) and Intelligent AWD, it offers a maximum braked towing capacity of up to 2,500 kg.
