Through the Motability Scheme, you can exchange your qualifying mobility allowance for a new car, scooter, or powered wheelchair. Operated by Motability Operations Ltd on behalf of the Motability Scheme charity, the programme is designed to keep you moving—simply and affordably.

Am I eligible?

The Motability Scheme is open to anyone who receives any of the following allowances and has at least 12 months remaining on their award: 

• The Higher Rate Mobility Component of Personal Independence Payment (PIP) 
• The Higher Rate Mobility Component of Disability Living Allowance (DLA) 
• The Enhanced Rate Mobility Component of Adult Disability Payment 
• The Higher Rate Mobility Component of Child Disability Payment 
• The War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement (WPMS) 
• The Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP) 

Even if you can't drive yourself, you can still lease a brand-new Honda through the Motability Scheme and have a nominated driver. The scheme allows you to nominate up to two named drivers as part of your lease.
